In the directions they will mention different stages/phases
To explain:
The Oil Phase is when you will heat the oils,waxes, emulsifiers and butters together
The Water phase is when you heat the water at the same time to the same temperature as the oil phase
basically these stages happen together in double boilers .
The Cooling Phase is when certain ingredients will be added as they are ruined by heat.
It is always handy to have a thermometer to test the heat
When looking at our ingredients it will nearly always show you at the bottom
Once you understand this part it really makes the recipes easy to follow and understand
